Mission Statement

We, the members of Puslinch Fire & Rescue, dedicate our efforts to provide for the safety and welfare of our residents and the public through preservation of life, property, and the environment.

Profile

Puslinch Fire & Rescue operates out of one station on Wellington Rd 34 in Aberfoyle Ontario.  There are thirty seven members, fully trained in first aid, CPR, auto extrication, firefighting, and numerous other areas requiring an emergency response.

We maintain our knowledge in all these areas by training every Wednesday night from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m.  We also hold special training sessions on other evenings and weekends to keep up to date.

We have seven emergency units waiting in the fire hall to respond at a moments notice.  They include:  pumper 32, rescue 35, telesquirt 33, tanker 38, tanker 39, pumper 31, antique pumper 30 and as of Nov 3 2004 a new new pumper 31.

In 2003 a defibrillator program was started with the purchase of two units.  A third unit was provided by a resident of Puslinch and as of April 2004 we have had another one donated by a resident.  More than twenty members have received training in defibrillator usage and are certified to use them when necessary.
